Xbox owns Crash
Crash walking into Xbox

The CMA has officially approved Microsoft's 68.7 billion deal to acquire Activision Blizzard. The deal was originally blocked by the CMA in April, but after restructuring, they have approved the deal. Microsoft restructured the deal to have Ubisoft own the cloud gaming rights to new and current Activision Blizzard games.

Ubisoft still has yet to detail how they will roll out these games or if they will be in their Ubisoft Plus service but with the deal finally being approved, more details will soon be available.

In a post this morning on X, the CMA announced the approval.

The only statement we have heard from Microsoft is a post from Brad Smith on X

As of right now, we still don't know what is going to happen next, but it's exciting for Xbox players, and I'm sure the hope is they will see Activision Blizzard games come to Game Pass as soon as possible.

As soon as more news drops will be sure to share.
