PlayStation held their State of Play today and put on quite a show. Before the show, they told us they would talk about Rise of the Ronin, some PSVR2, Stellar Blade and other titles. We could only speculate what they would show before the State of Play. Still, Hideo Kojima started posting images promoting the State of Play on social media, which led everyone to believe we would see Death Stranding 2. Kojima reposted the post from the PlayStation official account talking about the State of Play.
We did get to see a lot of Death Stranding 2, and he announced a future partner project with PlayStation that will be an espionage game. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released in 2025.
The show was just over 45 minutes long but showed PlayStation players a small roadmap into 2024 and 2025. At the show's end, they announced the next State of Play scheduled for February 6th, focusing on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
