Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer has been live for a week now, and today they announced new maps, Gunfight, Zombies update, and the arrival of Urzikstan brings Modern Warfare 3 – Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 to life.
Activision confirmed today that in Season 1, they will have three all-new 6v6 maps, and the first two are available on Day 1 of Season 1. The new locations are below, and Activision says they will provide a more detailed preview of these new maps at a later date.
MEAT (SEASON 1 LAUNCH)
Become the best butcher on the block in this compact map centred around the East Bay Meats slaughterhouse.
GREECE (SEASON 1 LAUNCH)
Prove you’re no mere mortal in this medium-sized Mediterranean-inspired Map based on a coastal town.
RIO (SEASON 1 RELOADED)
Take in the bright colours, tight quarters, and elegant streets in a fight through an upscale shopping center.
Activision did tease that a fan 2v2 mode Gunfight will return as well but will be giving more information at a later date. They did share that one of the new 2v2 maps is called Training Facility, which is below.
TRAINING FACILITY (SEASON 1 LAUNCH)
Zombie Storys continue in Season 1 with Rifts and Wonders, making your Operators tasked to investigate a massive, mysterious gateway that has appeared in the Exclusion Zone.
Enter the Rift: Inside Dark Aether Rifts, Operators will encounter a sinister and chaotic challenge, with limited time on the clock to complete objectives and escape with their lives (and sanity).
Dark Aether Rifts are a new end-game experience to master once players have completed the seasonal mission.
Friend Zone: A modified V-R11 Wonder Weapon packs a punch, transforming enemies, Zombie or Human, into loyal allies.
Gear-up: A new category of unique acquisition schematics that will test the player's skill to unlock.
Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a big update in Season 1 with the all-new Urzikstan map. Tackle an urban landscape incorporating 11 major points of interest for Call of Duty: Warzone. From the iconic Popov Power Plant in the north all the way through to the Zaravan Suburbs in the south – there's a new favourite hot-drop for everyone.
