Good news fellow PCers, you're finally going to be able to play one of Sony's best IPs around. Notice how I didn't qualify that with new IP, because Ghost of Tsushima is one of Sony's best first party games.
On May 16, 2024, you'll be able to sit down at your PC and play Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut! GET HYPED!
The game was originally developed by Sucker Punch, but the PC port will be done by Nixxes, a studio Sony purchased in July 2021 to work on PC ports. Nixxes has previously worked on the PC ports of Spider-Man Miles Morales and Spider-Man Remastered. Both games ran incredibly well on PC so I can only assume that Ghost of Tsushima will do the same.
In a blog post published by Playstation, they lay out what you'll get in the Director's Cut edition:
The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut includes the full game, the Iki Island expansion, and the cooperative online multiplayer Legends mode.
I'm really looking forward to jumping back into the world of Ghost of Tsushima. I played it on PS4 and minimally on PS5 and being able to experience it on a much beefier machine should really make the visuals pop.
